1963

Lenny Ferrara Sr. begins Superior Rail & Iron Works, Inc. as a residential ornamental railing company, working out of an old, renovated mill building in Stoughton, MA.

1970

Lenny Ferrara, Sr passes the torch to his son, Lenny Ferrara, Jr., who begins serving as acting company head. Superior Rail & Iron Works, Inc. expands into commercial markets, supplying local contractors with light structural steel, aluminum and ornamental railings, and steel stairs.

1985

Continuing expansion of the commercial market across New England leads SRI to purchase a plot of over 25 acres in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. SRI erects a new building housing a 21,000 square foot fabrication and painting facility along with 6,000 square feet of office space.

Anthony J. Ferrara, son of Lenny Ferrara Jr, begins managing the daily operation of Superior Rail & Iron Works, Inc., making him the third generation of the Ferrara family to guide the company.

2010

SRI adds a 15,000 square foot addition to the current fabrication facility, as well as, an additional 3,600 square feet of office space.

Superior Rail & Iron Works, Inc. pursues expanding, and adds more than 10,000 square feet to their fabrication facility, as well as over an additional 5,000 square feet of office space. Also, SRI erects a 3,000 square foot enclosed storage facility.
